101 Workshops

You don't need to own a sewing machine or have prior sewing experience to attend the 101 workshops. However, it's helpful to know how to thread a sewing machine, wind a bobbin, and do a straight stitch for the Zig Zag and Styles 101 classes. If you need to borrow a sewing machine, please let me know in advance so I can set one up for you.

202 Workshops

You must know the basics of sewing before taking these classes: 

Winding a bobbin, threading your machine, changing the needle

Change the length and width on your machine

Sew a straight and zig-zag stitch

​

303 Workshops

All of the above plus feel comfortable and in control with making a 1/4-inch seam allowance.

Volunteering

Volunteering to pay for classes does not include 101 workshops. Please speak with the instructor if you need to volunteer to help pay for your Simple Sewing 202 and 303 education. Limited volunteer spots are available, including the opportunity to become an in-class assistant. To qualify as a volunteer, you must have prior sewing experience from the 101 workshop series. 3 hours = 1/2 off, 5 hours = full class
