Workshops

Introductory sewing two-part workshops on Tuesdays and Thursdays. No sewing machine required. If you need to borrow one, let me know. The Toolkit Booklet, Journal Bookcover, and Sewing Machine Cover Caddy do not require prior sewing experience; however, taking the Basics 101 class is encouraged. 

The Basket Box Caddy and Apron-to-Tote require you to know how to wind your bobbin and thread your machine. That's it! All classes are for beginners, people looking to have fun,  make friends, and improve their sewing knowledge, creativity, and skill level. All levels welcome!

Simple Sewing 101
First Wednesday of the month

If you've never used a sewing machine or are getting back into sewing after a long break, this fun workshop is for you! In this session, you will learn the basics, including how to maintain your machine, identify essential sewing tools, wind your bobbin, thread your machine, understand the straight and zig-zag stitch, make your first seam and bag project. Additionally, there will be a one-hour lecture covering the top three sewing rules, different types of needles, fabrics, interfacing, computerized versus mechanical machines, how not to break the bank, and more!

Pattern to Garment

​

Recommended fabric that won't break your budget for the class: Get two 8-yard bolts in two different colors from Walmart online. The link is down below. They also have patterned fabric—one color or pattern as the main fabric and one as the lining. You can also buy fabric from me for the same price; however, my bolt fabric is limited. The class will need around 12 yards of 44" wide fabric.

Twelve-class sewing intensives for those looking for guidance in garment or quilting basics. Twice a week for six weeks. Only three students are allowed in the class. Full payment upfront. Talk to the instructor for more details.

Quilt with success through learning basic techniques and terminology.
