Simple Sewing is embracing a new focus in response to the recent hurricane. Whether you're a seasoned pro or a complete novice, everyone is welcome to join. No experience or machine is required, and I'll guide you through the process of creating handmade tote bags that will serve as a beacon of hope in these challenging times.
If you've never used a sewing machine or have had a long break, these three Basic 101 workshops are perfect! In this series, you will learn how to maintain your machine, identify essential sewing tools, wind your bobbin, thread your machine, and understand the straight zig-zag and over-casting stitches while making your first seams and projects. In the first class, there will be a one-hour lecture covering the top three sewing rules, different types of needles, fabrics, interfacing, computerized versus mechanical machines, and how not to break the bank.
